Born in East Pauk Taw Village in Pyay Township, Myanmar in 1971, Hein Thit graduated from the State School of Fine Arts, Yangon in 1991, and has exhibited extensively in Myanmar, as well as Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, USA and France. Around 1994, a medical student and poet introduce a medical book on the female anatomy to Hein Thit. Since then, he has been overwhelmed by the beauty, nature, dream and passion of women.
Hein Thit approaches the internal rather than external beauty of women with line drawing in a simple and most effective way. Since then, he believes that simple artistic creation has a great power of its own.
“People have an intrinsic characteristic of sensation and appreciation so they take an interest in everything. The kinds of artistic creation closest to human beings include art, sculpture, poetry, performance, film, music novel and play.
Commercials, materials and wastes have become involved in every artistic creation or presentation in one way or another. Similarly, the figures of women I have line-drawn since 2008-2009 are no longer on their own but presented in combination with old Myanmar comics and various stories composed in a mathematical wayâ€
