BUY OUT is a fundraiser for rainbowartsproject (RAP) in Supermarket 2012, a Stockholm independent art fair that showcases artists’ initiatives internationally.
RAP will be presenting in two major sections of the event:
1) A curated exhibition “Queer Creatures” introducing Singapore’s queer culture
2) Art & Activism Conference – Marla Bendini is invited to be part of the artists’ panel
Marla Bendini and Kelvin Atmadibrata will be selling their works to fund this project.

Kelvin Atmadibrata examines the notion of strength and power of rejects. He transmits this subject into personal identities as a gay man, a lost Indonesian and a fan boy. His practice includes drawings, mixed media, installation and performance. Constantly researching into the notion of gender and sexuality, Kelvin pays particular attention to masculine attributes, queer culture and erotica. In his final year as an ADM student in NTU, he has already held one solo exhibition.
Marla Bendini lives and works in Singapore. Born Ong Boon Kok, Bendini Junior in 1986, “Marla Bendini” was created in 2007, an ongoing process of the identity as the “art form”. Her first self-titled exhibition “Marla.” brought her to Pattaya, Thailand in 2008. In 2010, she presented Conversations Between Father and Son (2010), a multimedia installation performance at The Substation Gallery, Singapore.
